Attic Insulation in Laval-Ouest, QC

Our client in Laval-Ouest contacted us about their damp and poorly insulated attic. After a free inspection, we discovered air leaks causing mold and overuse of heating and cooling systems. With the client's consent, we removed the old insulation, treated the mold, sealed the air leaks, and installed new insulation, greatly improving the attic's energy efficiency.

Attic Insulation in Sainte-Therese, QC

Our client, residing in Sainte-Therese, contacted us due to concerns in their attic. Despite the recent installation of fiberglass insulation, they were still experiencing the same negative effects.

Our specialist visited to inspect the attic and immediately noticed excess moisture. Additionally, mold was observed on the ceiling. The specialist explained that simply installing insulation throughout the attic is not enough. Air sealing is a crucial step that should not be overlooked. Moreover, the amount of insulation installed should achieve an R-value of R60.

A properly insulated attic in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qc

The problem

The attic insulation of Mrs. Negret's house was insufficient. There was less than 10” of fiberglass mat in some places. This caused ice dams on her roof in winter and made her house uncomfortable.

The solution

We have sealed all air leaks such as joints, electrical wire holes. Then, we isolated the recessed lights by adding a box to each of them and sealing around the box. We insulated the access hatch with SilverGlo and finally blew out just over 16” of cellulose fibers.
