Attic Insulation Before & After Photos

The problem : 

The client wanted to change her attic insulation because it was old and it wasn't insulated properly. And when we were doing our inspection, we found many cracks that leaked air from the attic.

The solution : 

With the help of our certified attic insulation specialist, we established a plan and found a solution for the client's needs.

We started by removing all the old isolation. We then fixed all the cracks with our Zyp foam in order to air seal which is imperative to do before any insulation work. We then insulated all the attic with our cellulose fiber to get an R60 insulation value.

Now, this client has a better isolated attic with a much higher energy efficiency, which will help them save money and enjoy a more comfortable home.

Mr. Tang wanted to re-insulate his attic because he had problems with ice damming on his roof in winter. In addition, he felt drafts of cool air in the rooms upstairs. This was due to poor insulation in his attic.

Our solution to our client's problem was to first remove the old fiberglass insulation in order to seal all the air leaks that were present on the attic surface (joints, holes, etc.). Then we installed vents on each end of the attic to finally blow out just over 16” of cellulose fibers.

The problem

Mr. Omar had several problems with his attic:

- Lack of insulation

- Insulation in the soffits prevents air circulation in the attic

- Ice dam on the roof in winter

- Condensation on the ceiling on the upper floor.

The solution:

Remove the wool to seal all air leaks on the attic floor such as joints, holes, and recessed. Install vents throughout the soffits to allow airflow into the attic. Insulate the chimney and then blow out just over 16” of cellulose fiber to achieve an R-60 value.

The problem

The attic of Mr Gaudio's house was very poorly insulated. It had about 6 inches of fiberglass as insulation, which is far from sufficient in Quebec. Because of this, he felt some very cold breezes in winter, especially in the rooms of the house and he had noticed that heating costs were getting very high.

The solution

We removed or customer's old insulation to properly seal any air leaks on the attic floor. Subsequently, we added our SilverGlo insulation boards on some walls of the attic to finally blow 16 '' of cellulose fibers.

As our client stepped into his attic, he was surprised with its status, and thus contacted us to seek help. Upon conducting the inspection, our specialist confirmed client's concerns: There was excess moisture within the attic, which led to mold growth. He then explained to client that a proper attic insulation should be done in order to fix the problem once and for all. 

Upon approval of the contract, our production team started by removing the old deteriorated insulation. Then, they sealed all the air leaks within the attic, with our incredible ZypFoam, before blowing in 17'' of our TruSoft cellulose insulation. 

Client was satisfied with our services, and with the results. As he stated: "Now I can sleep well, knowing that the space above my head is safe and sound"
