Attic Insulation & Air Sealing Services in Rigaud, QC

Our client Ann, who lives in Rigaud, contacted us. Snow was accumulating on her roof, and ice dams were forming over the gutter. Additionally, our client did not feel comfortable in her home due to strong drafts.

Dan, one of our specialists, conducted a detailed inspection. The ice dams were alarming. Dan explained in detail the process of formation of these dams, which resulted from poor attic insulation. That's why the attic was the next place in the inspection. There was almost no insulation. Next, we installed our TruSoft cellulose insulation. This product is characterized by its better performance than fiberglass, and its fire-resistance. Approximately 17" of cellulose was blown in the attic to achieve the thermal value of R60.

Ann noticed a significant difference in her home, which became warmer and more comfortable. Furthermore, the decrease in the Hydro bill the following month was another proof of the effectiveness of the insulation.

Mr. Steve contacted us to resolve some complications within his attic. It was the winter season, and the temperature was irritatingly low in his attic, along with the presence of mold. Our specialist, Toufic, visited this house located Rigaud, for a thorough and free inspection. He explained to Mr. Steve that the existing insulation was insufficient. We meticulously identified and sealed all air leaks in the attic through pipes, cables, recessed lights, etc. The, we eliminated the mold with our excellent product, Mold-X2. To enhance thermal efficiency, we placed SilverGlo thermal insulation blocks along the walls. This helped prevent heat loss. Finally, we proceeded to blow in our high-quality cellulose fiber insulation on the attic floor, achieving an R60 thermal value. This method filled the void spaces and ensured adequate insulation.

Following these interventions, the attic showed significant improvements. Temperatures became more stable and comfortable, eliminating the cold temperature. Moreover, the excessive use of heating/cooling systems ceased, thus reducing the hydro bill.
