Our client's attic was poorly insulated. Insufficient insulation and several air leaks.
Uneven insulation in the attic
Several fiberglass mats were stacked unevenly. Some places didn't even have 10” of insulation.
Seal air leaks and install vents
Our experts sealed the air leaks with expanding polyurethane foam and installed the vents on each side of the attic to allow good ventilation.
Insulate recessed lights
It is still very common to see recessed lights without any insulation. However, this is not safe and is a major source of air leakage. So our experts insulate the downlights by adding a box to each of them and then sealing around them.
Seal around ducts
Ducts are also a source of air leakage. So we seal all around to plug the hole.
