Challenge

Mold started to form within his attic due to inadequate insulation and the presence of air leaks. The existing insulation had deteriorated, leading to poor thermal performance and moisture issues. It was crucial to seal all sources of air leaks and upgrade the insulation to a higher thermal value.

Solution

Removing Old Insulation: The team safely removed the old, rotting insulation, ensuring no mold spores spread to other parts of the house.

Mold Neutralization: They used our excellent Mold X2 to neutralize all the mold spore available within the attic. 

Air Sealing: They meticulously sealed all identified air leaks, using our high-quality ZypFoam to ensure a tight seal.

Installing New Insulation: Finally, the team installed the new cellulose insulation, carefully ensuring it reached the desired R60 thermal value. This high level of insulation would significantly improve the attic’s thermal performance.
