Challenge
The attic was in a bad condition: The wood was moist and damaged, the existing fiberglass insulation was in poor condition. In addition, there were irritating temperature fluctuations within the house.
Solution
We started by removing the old insulation, in order to seal all air leaks underneath, after eliminating any present mold formation. Then, we blew 17" of our cellulose fiber insulation into the attic floor to achieve an R60 thermal value.
