Complete renovation of an Attic in Saint-Lambert, QC
Challenge
Our client, residing in Saint-Lambert, contacted us for a simple reason: He just wanted to add insulation in his attic. However, when our specialist Houssem examined the attic, he discovered several other complications:
1) The attic was very humid, which caused mold formation on the fiberglass insulation. Additionally, we noticed the presence of an insect colony under a part of the insulation. 2) There were numerous unsealed air leaks under the old insulation, diminishing its effectiveness.
3) Moreover, the existing insulation was not suitable to provide adequate thermal value.
Solution
The solution was to establish a perfect insulation of the attic after eliminating the existing damage:
1) Remove and throw away the old insulation.
2) Neutralize the mold with our excellent Mold-X2 product to prevent its reformation.
3) Seal all air leaks through pipes, ventilation ducts...
4) Blow off our high-performance TrueSoft cellulose fiber insulation. This insulation is resistant to mold and fire.
