Photo Album: Attic Insulation in Greenfield Park, QC
This album illustrates the spectacular transformation we brought to the attic of a house in Greenfield Park! The house suffered from excessive drafts, high winter hydro bills, and even worrisome mold stains. Our team intervened with innovative solutions. We removed the old insulation, revealing hidden air leaks, then applied our Mold-X2 product to eliminate any trace of mold. Next, we sealed the sources of air leaks, including the attic access hatch, ensuring airtight insulation. Finally, thanks to our TruSoft cellulose insulation, we achieved superior insulation quality.
The attic during our inspection
It's clear that the existing insulation was inadequate. Moreover, the existing holes allowed air to escape.
Mold Stains
Mold is growing beneath the existing insulation. This is a sign of moisture, which could lead to wood rot.
Air Sealing
This step is extremely important before installing the new insulation. The presence of holes allowing air to escape reduces the effectiveness of the insulation.
TruSoft Insulation
Our TruSoft cellulose-based insulation is blown throughout the attic to ensure an R60 thermal value.
