Signs of damaged insulation
The excess humidity in the attic is incarnated by signs of deterioration of the existing insulation.
The attic during our inspection
Despite looking like it is well insulated, there was still excess moisture. In addition, there were uncomfortable air drafts within the house. This showed that a step is missing in order to have a perfect insulation.

After removing the old insulation we were able to identify several holes, letting the air escape and thus reducing the insulation's performance. It is very important not to omit the step of air sealing in case we want to have an optimal insulation.
Attic perfectly insulated
It is necessary to mention that the ruler in the pics shows the needed height to attend the thermal value of R60 for both Fiberglass insulation (On the left), and cellulose insulation (on the right). Thus the R60 still visible in the photo is for the Fiberglass and not the cellulose (The insulation we use).
Crucial stage in the insulation process
It is excessively important to seal all the air leaks sources in order to profit form the optimal performance of the insulation.
