Overview of the attic before our work had started
Our client had wool as attic insulation. Wool is not as effective as cellulose, and mold can grow on it if there is constant moisture present.
Less than 5 in. of fiberglass
In some places in the attic there was less than 5” of fiberglass. Which is far from enough. In Quebec, it would take at least 20 in. of wool for the attic to be effectively insulated.
Addition of ventilation mats
We add ventilation mats to allow good air circulation in the attic and prevent air from coming into contact with the insulation.
16 in of cellulose fibers
We blow just over 16” of cellulose fiber to insulate the attic. Cellulose is very effective, durable, safe and environmentally friendly!
Another view of the attic
Here is another look at the attic once insulated with cellulose fiber.
