Overview of the attic before work
Our client's attic had 6”of fiberglass for insulation, but it wasn't efficient.
Conduits that were condensing
Due to poor insulation, the customer's pipes were condensing and water was leaking. When working in the attic, it is necessary to seal well around the ducts and insulate them.
Replacement of attic deflectors
It is normal for the attic to be ventilated, it must be, but it must be well controlled. Maximum deflectors and fans are needed on the roof. Lack of ventilation or too much ventilation can become problematic.
SilverGlo insulation boards
In a multi-level attic, we strongly suggest insulating the walls between the 2 attics. We do it with our SilverGlo insulation boards.
Insulate with cellulose fiber
Once the air leaks were sealed, the insulation boards fitted, we blew a little over 16 '' of cellulose fibers so that the attic was effectively insulated.
