Reinsulating an attic to prevent humidity in the attic

Challenge

Mrs. Rao who lives in Brossard had contacted Systèmes Éconergie because she had not re-insulated her attic since many years and wanted us to help her in this issue and provide her with the best available solution.

Actually, she had noticed that her energy costs were increasing and she had also felt a lack of comfort in her home due to humidity growth and cold.

Solution

To solve the problem, we started by removing the old fiberglass insulation. We then sealed all air leaks in the attic such as joints and holes made for recessed lights and wires. Next, we blew 16” of cellulose to provide our client with maximum home comfort.
