Our customer in Saint-Blaise-Sur-Richelieu contacted us because their home was difficult to heat and temperature fluctuations were becoming uncomfortable throughout the seasons. Energy optimization of an attic in Saint-Blaise-Sur-Richelieu, Quebec

In Saint-Blaise-Sur-Richelieu, our client clearly felt that something was wrong. In winter, the heating ran constantly, but some rooms remained cold. In summer, heat quickly built up upstairs. Energy bills were rising and comfort levels were never stable.

During our assessment, we discovered a poorly insulated attic with sagging insulation, uneven coverage, and several air leaks around recessed lighting fixtures, ventilation ducts, and technical openings. Warm air was escaping upward, creating significant heat loss, temperature variations, and a noticeable decrease in the home's energy performance. We first completely removed the old insulation to eliminate deteriorated materials and start with an effective base. Next, we professionally caulked the air leaks to improve the attic's airtightness and limit uncontrolled air movement.
