Attic Well Insulated
Installation of new insulation: We blew TruSoft cellulose insulation throughout the attic to achieve an R60 thermal value. This insulation is fire-resistant and mold-resistant.
Two Very Important Steps in Attic Insulation
Mold neutralization: Using our effective product Mold-X2, we quickly cleaned all contaminated surfaces. Sealing of air leaks: With our high-quality ZypFoam, we sealed all air leaks, ensuring consistent temperatures and preventing moisture from entering.
The Attic during our Inspection
The attic was damp with an unpleasant odor. Additionally, the existing insulation seemed inadequate and damaged. The excess humidity was due to air leaks in several areas: around the chimney, recessed lighting fixtures, and wire and pipe passages. These air leaks had led to mold growth. A poorly insulated attic causes the heating and cooling systems to work harder to compensate for uncomfortable drafts in the house, resulting in high Hydro bills.
