How Systèmes Éconergie transformed a cold, poorly insulated attic

Challenge

We were recently contacted by a customer in Notre-Dame-De-La-Paix who wanted to have his attic repaired. He was experiencing several problems: insufficient insulation, air leaks around ducts and vents, uncomfortable temperature fluctuations, dust accumulation, and mold growth. These issues made the space difficult to use, unpleasant to live in, and resulted in higher-than-necessary heating and cooling bills.

Solution

Our team of specialists at Systèmes Éconergie conducted a thorough inspection of the attic to identify all sources of energy loss. We then applied our proven solution:

Insulation with TrueSoft Cellulose: blowing in dense, high-performance insulation to maximize thermal protection and create an energy-efficient envelope.
Careful sealing of air leaks: around hatches, ducts, and electrical cables to reduce heat loss and improve overall comfort.
Installation of radiant barriers: to reinforce insulation and keep heat in during winter and coolness in during summer.
Humidity control and cleaning: treating dust traces and preventing mold to ensure a healthy and sustainable attic.
