Attic Insulation in Montréal-Est, QC
Challenge
Mold was beginning to form in the attic. In addition, the attic was extremely cold in winter and vice versa in summer which obliged the owner to excessively use the HVAC systems.
Solution
- Removing the Old Insulation: This will allow us to identify all the sources of air leaks. In addition, we will also be able to remove all the mold spores.
- Air Sealing All Sources of Air Leaks: Using our high-quality ZypFoam sealant and foams to close gaps and prevent air leakage. This step is crucial to maintain consistent temperatures and prevent moisture entry.
- Installing New Insulation to Reach a Thermal Value of R60: We blew in our excellent cellulose insulation TruSoft throughout the attic. This insulation is fireproof and mold resistant.
