Reducing energy costs by insulating our client's attic in Deux-Montagnes, Qc

Challenge

Mr. Donovan found his home uncomfortable. The rooms were often too hot or too cold. He also had far too high heating and cooling costs. What was the cause? A poorly insulated attic. He only had 8” of blown wool in his attic.

Solution

The solution

- Seal air leaks, insulate ducts, and blow out just over 16" of cellulose fibers

To improve the comfort of our client's home as well as reduce their energy costs, we removed the old fiberglass insulation to seal all air leaks on the attic floor, insulated the air ducts to avoid losses, and blew just over 16’’ of cellulose fibers.
