Systèmes Éconergie Case Studies: Attic insulation in Lachine
Attic condensation generally happens during winter & spring months when warm, moist air from the main living area rises into the attic space. When that warm, moist air meets the chilly underside of your roof’s deck, condensation occurs.
Mr. Ouellette noticed that his attic was very damp and mold started to grow a lot! After finding Systèmes Éconergie, he contacted us and asked for our free consultation.
Following our client's approval, our team cleaned the surfaces with our MoldX2 product to remove mold, added ventilation mats in the soffits to improve the air circulation and avoid humidity and then blew 16 in. of cellulose fibers.
The attic is now properly insulated!
Problem: Uninsulated attic
Solution: MoldX2, Cellulose Fibers
Spray urethane for attic insulation is not effective
Due to high humidity, we can see that mold has grown a lot!
