Our client had fiberglass in the attic. It is a very common insulator for attics, but very far from being the most efficient.

Insulation of the attic access hatch

We blow just over 16" of cellulose fibers to achieve an R-60 value.
Mr. Cadieux contacted Systèmes Éconergie because he lacked insulation in his attic. Some places in his attic had almost no insulation. He also felt a difference in the temperature of the rooms in the house, some were colder and some were warmer, which made his house uncomfortable.
In order to solve our client's problem, our experts removed the fiberglass insulation, sealed all the air leaks on the attic floor with expanded foam, added vents for better ventilation and they blew a little more than 16 in. of cellulose fibers.
